Five dimensions of org health

What the Aress health check examines

Each dimension is assessed by a certified Salesforce architect against Salesforce best practices and your specific business context.

Security & Access
The most critical and most commonly overlooked dimension. Poor security settings expose your business data to internal and external risk.
System admin and permission set audit
MFA and session security settings
Field-level security review
Sharing model and OWD assessment
Licence Efficiency
Most orgs overpay for Salesforce. Inactive users, over-licenced roles, and wrong edition choices drain budget with no business value.
Inactive user identification
Licence type vs actual usage
Edition right-sizing analysis
Savings projection report
Automation Health
Deprecated automations, overlapping Flows, and undocumented Apex slow every release and create unpredictable system behaviour.
Process Builder and Workflow Rule inventory
Flow complexity and duplication audit
Apex test coverage review
Technical debt scoring
Data Quality
Duplicate records, incomplete fields, and storage overages degrade reporting, impair AI performance, and cost money.
Duplicate rate analysis
Required field completion rates
Storage usage and overage risk
Data retention policy review
Agentforce Readiness
A clean, well-governed Salesforce org is the prerequisite for reliable AI agents. Most orgs have critical gaps that prevent trustworthy Agentforce performance.
Data Cloud readiness assessment
Org architecture for AI workloads
Security model for agent permissions
Automation hygiene for AI integration
Integration Health
Broken or poorly governed integrations create data inconsistencies, sync failures, and hidden technical debt that compounds over time.
Connected app and API inventory
Integration error rate and failure logs
Data sync lag and volume assessment
MuleSoft and middleware review
DevOps & Release Management
Uncontrolled releases and poor change management are a leading cause of production incidents, data loss, and runaway technical debt.
Sandbox strategy and environment usage
Deployment process and tooling review
Change management and approval gates
Version control and rollback capability
Managed Package Review
Installed AppExchange packages accumulate silently. Unused packages consume licences, introduce security risk, and complicate upgrades.
Full installed package inventory
Usage and active user analysis per package
Licence cost per package assessment
Security and compliance risk flags
User Adoption
Low adoption is the most common reason Salesforce fails to deliver ROI. An org no one uses properly is an org that isn't working.
Login frequency and feature usage rates
Data entry quality by user and team
Report and dashboard engagement
Training gap identification

The cost of inaction

What a poor health score is costing you right now

Every month you operate with an unhealthy Salesforce org, the cost compounds in wasted spend, security exposure, and blocked strategic initiatives.

Security risk

The average cost of a data breach in 2026 is $4.9 million. Misconfigured Salesforce security settings overly permissive sharing models, excessive admin access, and disabled MFA are among the most common causes of CRM data exposure.

$4.9M Average data breach cost in 2026

Wasted licence spend

The average Salesforce org wastes 20–30% of its annual licence spend on inactive users, over-licenced roles, and unused features. For a 100-user Enterprise Edition org, that is typically $30,000–$60,000 per year leaving on the table at every renewal.

20–30% Of Salesforce licences wasted on average

Blocked AI adoption

In 2026, every Salesforce customer is being asked to adopt Agentforce. But Agentforce agents built on dirty data, broken automations, and misconfigured security models produce inaccurate results. A clean org is not optional it is the prerequisite.

Before your next renewal

Know what you actually use before you sign another contract

Most Salesforce renewals are signed without a clear picture of what the business actually uses, who is actively logging in, or whether the edition purchased still matches the organisation's needs. That is how overspend compounds year on year.

The best time to run a health check is 60 to 90 days before your Salesforce renewal.

That gives you time to act on the findings deactivate inactive users, right-size editions, and remove unused managed packages before you negotiate your next contract based on what you actually need, not what you inherited.

31 active Process Builder automations flagged for urgent migration
Manufacturing org, 200 users. All were silently at risk of failure after the 2026 Process Builder retirement deadline.
Organisation not ready for Agentforce despite 3-month timeline
Retail business, 60 users. Data quality and security gaps identified 8 weeks before planned Agentforce go-live remediated in time.

How we protect your Salesforce org during the audit

We understand that granting access to your Salesforce org requires trust. Here is exactly how Aress governs that access before, during, and after the health check.

Read-only access, always

We request read-only admin access to your Salesforce org. We never request access that would allow us to modify, export, or delete your data or configuration. Every permission is scoped to the minimum required for the audit.

NDA available on request

A mutual non-disclosure agreement is available for any client that requires one before granting access. Simply request it when booking your health check and we will send it for signature before any access is provided.

Time-bound access only

Access is granted for the duration of the audit only typically 5 to 7 business days. A formal access start and end date is agreed in writing before we begin, and you revoke access yourself at the agreed time.

No data extraction without approval

We do not extract, copy, or store your Salesforce data. Our audit process is observation-based we review metadata, configuration, and aggregated metrics only. Any screenshot or export requires your explicit written approval.

ISO 27001:2022 certified

Aress holds ISO 27001:2022 certification the internationally recognised standard for information security management. Our security policies, access controls, and data handling procedures are independently audited annually.

Access removed immediately after audit

Upon delivery of your findings report, we confirm in writing that all access credentials have been revoked. We also provide a checklist for you to verify access removal on your side so you are never relying solely on our confirmation.

A decade of Salesforce expertise. On your side.

Certified architects, not junior admins

Every Aress health check is conducted by a certified Salesforce architect not an admin or a junior consultant. You get expert analysis of your org's design decisions, not just a surface-level checklist.

250+ audits since 2015 we know what to look for

With over 250 Salesforce org audits completed across healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and retail, Aress has built proprietary benchmarks for what good looks like in each industry and org size.

ISO 27001 certified your data is safe with us

A health check requires read-only access to your Salesforce org. Aress holds ISO 27001:2022 certification and CMMi Level 3, ensuring that access is governed, time-limited, and fully documented throughout the engagement.

Agentforce-aware from day one

Our health check was updated in 2025 to include a dedicated Agentforce readiness dimension assessing data quality, security model, automation hygiene, and Data Cloud readiness as prerequisites for reliable AI agent deployment.

Salesforce health check what you need to know

The Aress health check covers seven areas: security and sharing model review, licence utilisation and inactive user analysis, automation inventory and technical debt scoring, data quality and storage assessment, integration health, Agentforce readiness, and user adoption analysis. A prioritised action plan is delivered within 5 business days.

Yes the health check is free for qualifying organisations. Qualification criteria include an active Salesforce org with at least 10 users. There is no obligation to purchase any further services after the report is delivered. Most clients choose to address the findings with Aress, but you own the report regardless.

The Aress health check takes 5 business days from kickoff to delivery of your findings report. We need read-only admin access to your Salesforce org and a 30-minute briefing call to understand your priorities before we begin.

Any organisation that has been running Salesforce for more than 12 months, is planning a renewal, is considering Agentforce or Data Cloud adoption, has experienced performance or adoption issues, or suspects licence overspend would benefit from a health check. In our experience, 85% of orgs we audit have at least one critical finding.

Agentforce readiness is an assessment of whether your Salesforce org is architecturally prepared to deploy autonomous AI agents reliably. Key factors include data quality, security model, automation hygiene, and Data Cloud integration readiness. Most orgs have critical gaps that must be addressed before Agentforce will perform accurately at scale.

You receive a prioritised findings report with a health score across all five dimensions, specific issues ranked by severity, and a recommended action plan with effort estimates. Aress walks you through the findings in a 60-minute debrief call. You decide what to do next with or without Aress.
